Our Team
Founder & CEO
Taneshia Miller is a passionate leader, mentor, and changemaker with nearly 20 years of experience serving youth and families in underserved communities. A native of San Francisco’s Bayview-Hunters Point community, Taneshia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and founded Ladies In Power in 2006 with a mission to uplift, educate, and empower young girls and women to reach their full potential.
As CEO of Ladies In Power, Taneshia has developed dynamic programs focused on mental health, financial literacy, healthy living, leadership development, and community service. Her work centers around creating safe, supportive spaces where young women can grow, heal, and thrive—both personally and professionally.
Taneshia brings a unique blend of lived experience, academic knowledge, nonprofit expertise, and deep community connections to everything she does. Her leadership is rooted in compassion, purpose, and a belief that every girl deserves the opportunity to shine.
Through her vision, Ladies In Power has impacted hundreds of lives and continues to be a trusted pillar of support across the Bay Area.

Who We Are
At Ladies In Power, we provide programs that help young women and men build confidence, gain life skills, and find mentorship to succeed.
🌟 Project Elevate – Supports young adults (TAY) as they transition into independence with career readiness, mental health, and financial literacy resources.
🌟 Youth In Power (YIP) – A leadership and mentorship program for ages 14-24, offering educational support and personal development.
🌟 Lovely Ladies University – A sisterhood-based program that empowers young women with life skills, leadership training, and personal growth opportunities.
